Privacy

Preflight is a trading journal. It holds notes about your own trades, so this page says plainly what is stored, who can see it, and how to get rid of it. If anything here is unclear, ask: hello@preflight.app.

What we store

• Your account — first and last name, email address, and a one-way hash of your password. We cannot read your password.
• Your journal — the trades you log: instrument, dates, R multiples, checklist answers, your setups, and anything you type into a notes field.
• Screenshots you attach to a trade.
• Feedback you choose to send through a check-in.
• Sign-in records — session tokens, and the count of failed sign-in attempts, which is what stops someone guessing your password.

What we do not store

• Card details. Payment is handled by Stripe on their own pages. Your card number never reaches our servers. We keep only Stripe's customer reference and whether your subscription is active.
• No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts that watch what you do.
• No brokerage credentials. Preflight never connects to your broker and cannot place, see, or affect a single trade.

Cookies

One cookie: the session that keeps you signed in. It carries no personal information and there are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing here to consent to.

Who else sees it

Your journal is yours. It is never sold, never used to train anything, and never shown to other users. Two companies process data on our behalf and only for the job named:

• Stripe — payments and subscription status.
• Resend — sending a password-reset email, when you ask for one.

Beyond that we disclose nothing unless the law actually requires it.

Where it lives

On a server we run, and in encrypted-at-rest backups kept for 30 days. Traffic is encrypted in transit.

Getting your data out, or deleting it

Your journal exports to CSV from inside the app at any time, without asking us. Delete my account on your account page removes your account, every trade, your screenshots and your playbook immediately; backups holding the old copy age out within 30 days. Cancelling a subscription does not delete anything — you keep read access to everything you logged.

Your rights

You can see, correct, export or delete your data yourself from the account pages. If you would rather we did it, or you want to know exactly what we hold on you, email hello@preflight.app and we will answer within 30 days.

Children

Preflight is not for under-18s and we do not knowingly keep their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will email you before it takes effect rather than quietly changing the date at the top.
